San Francisco Spring Staff Team 2008
Shelby Bossert
Shelby is from Reno, Nevada and attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She studied Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She worked on a research project to better understand the demographics of homeless youth in Las Vegas. As a senior in high school, she went to CSM San Francisco and fell in love with the city and its people. Her ministry experience includes teaching Sunday School and as a camp counselor. "I hope to help the groups that come in see that we can be God's light not only in the city on a mission trip, but in our daily lives."
Lindsey Crawford
Lindsey is from Pryor, OK. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in May, 2007, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies and an emphasis in American Studies and Sociology. She has served five years at Camp Dry Gulch, a Christian Children's Camp in OK, ministering to over 10,000 children from 6 to 12 years old each summer. She has served as a volunteer in both the Children and Youth Ministries at her home church, Church on the Move, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lindsey's hobbies include photography, music, movies, board games, biking, water activities and friends! After serving last summer in Houston, Lindsey agreed to transfer to Chicago for the fall, and now has landed in San Francisco for the spring.
Sarah King
Sarah grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended Ball State University. She majored in social work, competed on the swim team, interned at a juvenile secure care facility, and was involved with Athletes in Action athletic ministry before graduating in 2006. The past four summers Sarah worked at Kids Across America, a Christian sports camp for urban youth. Last year she participated in a ministry training program, the Kanakuk Institute, which included getting a master’s degree in Youth and Family Ministry. She likes sports, dance, crafts, and travel. Sarah loves people and loves to laugh and to learn new things, so she is pumped for her first experience with CSM this fall and spring! "More importantly, God has been fueling a passion for supporting urban teens and their families and I’m excited to get an up-close view of how God’s people are doing this in San Francisco."
